Risk and Resilience Report: Measuring Individual Disaster Preparedness

Abstract
- A governmental program should be developed under direction of ministry of health for encouraging families to buy emergency preparedness tools; particularly first aid kit. The disaster preparedness list should be included as it is considered an essential component for development of individual preparedness strategy.
- A compliance program should be designed to be an incentive program for promoting individuals to comply with governmental instructions and local directives during health risks. This program may include training on first aid, evacuation, and fire control.
- The phone applications for preparedness should be developed. The Covide-19 crisis shows that many governments employ smart phones for tracking contacts and cases, receiving information, and digitizing important documents. Moreover, authorities can inform population with all risks affecting a specific region.
