Abstract

The use of drones by police and security forces offers a range of benefits and opportunities, including faster response times, cost savings, and enhanced protection for personnel dealing with hazardous situations. However, the widespread deployment of drones by government agencies, non-state armed actors, and ordinary individuals introduces new challenges for police and security forces. This is particularly concerning as terrorist organizations and criminal gangs increasingly utilize drones to advance their objectives and plans.

To reduce the reliance of Arab countries on importing drones, it is crucial to focus on developing domestic drone manufacturing capabilities, particularly in countries with the potential for significant advances in this industry. These countries should collaborate and coordinate their efforts while also leveraging the expertise of advanced foreign countries to enhance their own capabilities.
