Focus of the Security Policy Paper
The Security Policy Papers, in both its parts Security Policy Analysis Papers and Security Policy Briefs, focus on security problems, policies, and issues of concern to both the decision maker and the general public. These papers provide basic information that assist in understanding the issue or problem, and why it should be addressed. Also, these papers highlight the alternatives or options related to policies and provide a clear evaluation of their possible outcomes. Moreover, The Security Policy Papers present arguments through scientific and factual evidences that support their recommendations, and defend their option being the best possible option among several others.
The Security Policy Papers focus on presenting scientific and executive briefs of the current security issues and dilemmas which fall within the context of the interests of security studies in the comprehensive concept of security. These papers also review international reports pertinent to security and strategic issues, advocacy policy briefs, situation assessment policy briefs, and briefs of translations of security policy papers issued in other languages.
Scope of the Security Policy Papers
The scope of the Security Policy Papers includes the publication of Security Policy Analysis Papers and Security Policy Briefs in the security fields in its comprehensive concept and the fields related to the research priorities of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences in order to achieve the following objectives:
- To disseminate the methodology of policy analysis as a scientific tradition in the Arab world, and to apply it in the fields of security policies.
- To bring policy makers and decision makers closer to the substance of the current issues, and to provide a scientific understanding, and to analyze solutions options and available alternatives.
- To support policy makers and decision makers in the Arab security institutions.
- To produce distinguished scientific contributions in the field of security policy analysis.
